The Canberra Art Prize was run for a number of years by the Italo Australian Club in Canberra.

My work "Bed of Roses Series" was exhibited in the 2005 finalists exhibition. Characteristic of most of my conceptual work, this Series has a lot of complex imagery.

In terms of the mark making the work uses an aluminium metal leaf substructure with collaged elements and then washes of ink.

The work itself is about a transformation and is based on a visual diary I kept in the very early days of recovery from a cancer diagnosis and treatment.
